ed Meccaniche Veloci Icon Mud 2Swiss watch brand Meccaniche Veloci has launched its latest collection of carbon fibre timepieces, Mud.

Based in the watchmaking district of Geneva, Plan-les-Ouates, the Mud collection is an unreleased version of the brand’s celebrated Icon line, featuring the pink gold Tourbillon and 10th Podium, titanium Rosso and multicoloured NiteLite series.

Recognised for its eye-catching 49mm piston-shaped case and metallic aesthetic, Meccaniche Veloci has been making waves in the watch game since 2006. Unsurprisingly, Mud is no exception to the brand’s revolutionary approach to men’s accessories. The alternative timepiece design is inspired by the distinctive shape of engine pistons in order to present the masculine personality of the brand. Featuring a black leather strap with a stainless steel buckle, the Mud includes a specific system designed to add comfort and finesse to the overall finish of the timepiece. Likewise, the rose gold Icon Podium Mud includes a brown leather strap with black stitching for a stark finish destined to become the centrepiece of any outfit.

The watch itself is crafted with anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and includes a mineral glass caseback for an elegant and classic approach to watchmaking. However, the 328-piece watch also includes 33 jewels for a flourish of dramatic flair. Two lower dials are skeletonised, allowing the technical details of Meccaniche Vecloci’s in-house Manufacture calibre MV8803 to take centre stage. All four dials combine to present the four independent time zones.

In a similar style to the Icon line, Mud is available in three versions: rose gold and a natural titanium, created exclusively for the Japanese market. The watch is also available in titanium with a chocolate brown finishing; a unique and robust shade which grew to inspire the collection’s namesake. The brand also offers a Bespoke Atelier customisation service which caters to the individual needs of each client in order to hand-craft your perfect watch.
