Dutch watchmakers TW Steel have joined forces with Amsterdam based custom motorcycle builders Numbnut Motorcycles on a new project to create design both a custom-made bike and a luxury watch

Featuring a Swiss made mechanical tourbillon movement, the fully automatic, bi-directional timepiece has 29 jewels and a three day power reserve.

The Son of time features colour accents which reflect those used in the custom motorcycle, bringing them both together for maximum impact.  

“This was such an enjoyable timepiece to create,” said Ton Cobelens. “At TW Steel we build every watch to make a powerful statement and the Son of Time is no exception. Working with Roderick has been really inspiring, the attitude of the custom motorcycle world has a lot in common with TW Steel, daring to be different and travelling a less used path for originality and expression.

“I knew right from the beginning we had to use a mechanical tourbillon movement, the Son of Time had to make a strong statement in every aspect of its parts.”
