The model features a four-litre flat-six engine, with high-revving power unit developing 500 hp (368 kW), which remains unchanged from the thoroughbred 911 GT3 Cup racing car.

A number Porsche GT road car customers like to take their cars for a spin, and the new 911 GT3 gives them the opportunity to do just that. The vehicle offers a weight-to-power ratio of 3.88 kg/kW (2.86 kg/hp) its dominant carbon rear wing putting its aerodynamic form to the test. The lightweight nose construction and front spoiler have been designed to create an even better airflow.

The 911 GT3 boasts a new two-seater sits around 25 mm lower than the 911 Carrera S and the chassis also features superior handling characteristics, with active rear-axle steering enabled. The car steers either in the opposite or the same direction as the front wheels depending on how fast it's travelling, and in turn enhancing the vehicle’s agility and stability. 

The interior of this new 911 model has been designed to the specific GT3 driving experience. The GT sports steering wheel with a diameter of 360 mm originates from the 918 Spyder. Both the driver and passenger experience the dynamics in Porsche Sports seats Plus with enhanced seat side bolsters and mechanical fore/aft adjustment.

The seat height and backrests are adjusted electronically. As the 911 GT3 is traditionally a two-seater, the seat pans in the rear are covered.

Porsche provides three additional seat variants for the 911 GT3: The adaptive Sports seats Plusfeature electrical adjustment of all seat functions (18-way). The sports bucket seats features a folding backrest, integrated thorax airbag and manual fore/aft adjustment. The third variant is full bucket seats that have been crafted from light carbon fibre-reinforced plastic in carbon-weave finish.

The new 911 GT3 is available to order now from Porsche Centres in the UK and Ireland. Customers will also be invited to discover the potential of their new car, and push further their own driving skills by participating in a bespoke driving experience at the Porsche Experience Centre in Silverstone.

The recommended retail price including VAT is £111,802.00, and first deliveries are expected during early summer.
