Inspired by his African roots, fast-rising Nigerian fashion designer Dozzy Nnamdi Obinwanne set up Dozzy Couture to supply tailor-made men’s clothes that combine modern styles with African fabrics and designs. Dozzy is a member of the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria.

This August, Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) 2015 proved that there is more to this trend than peplum tribal print and stiff waxy textiles.

The Spring Summer 2015 Collection by Congolese born Tina Lonondi is called "Au cinema" and was inspired from screen sirens Grace Kelly and Sophia Loren to Zoe Saldana.
