Officine Panerai presents the official watches of the 35th America's cup, one of the most celebrated prestigious sailing races in the world
The 2017 America's Cup will be hosted in Bermuda in partnership with Louis Vuitton and Officine Panerai is an official partner.
The race has seen outstanding sailing achievements, including one of the greatest comebacks in the history of sport in the last edition, when Oracle Team USA won eight consecutive races to win the Cup for the second time.
For the 35th America’s Cup Panerai has created five limited edition watches, combining Swiss mechanics with Italian design and avant-garde technology, true to the unmistakable Panerai brand, while using fascinating elements.

The Luminor Marina 1950 America’s Cup 3 days automatic Acciaio
The special edition timepiece of 300 units features a simplicity, minimalist design and fundamental in function, with characteristics which make it a perfect watch for use at sea.
The case of the Luminor Marina 1950 America’s Cup 3 Days Automatic, inspired by that historically created by Panerai for the commandos of the Italian Navy, has been created from AISI 316L stainless steel. A lever device protects the crown from accidental shocks and enables it to be water-resistant to the very high limit of 30 bars (about 300 metres).
The polished bezel surrounds a classic Panerai black dial with its sandwich structure, on which the large luminous linear markers and figures, the date at 3 o’clock and the small seconds counter at 9 o’clock are all perfectly legible, even under conditions of little or no light. At 6 o’clock the phrase America's Cup is printed in blue, and with the red of the seconds hand and the white of the other indications on the dial, it immediately recalls the colours of the logo of the celebrated competition. The official logo of the America’s Cup appears in relief on the solid steel screw back.

Officine Panerai has designed a special edition of the Luminor Marina 1950 Softbank Team Japan 3 Days Automatic, of which only 150 units will be created.
