Unlike previous models, the Cayenne Coupé boasts a longer and lower flyline while maintaining a classic, ergonomically-designed shape. Broad and bold, the Coupé offers four settings to suit your driving style; Normal, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual, all of which can be customised from behind the wheel; while the model’s Advanced Cockpit features a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, removing the need to constantly fiddle with buttons on the road.

With a top speed of 150mph, the model features a panoramic fixed glass roof which spand the entire passenger compartment, as well as 20-inch alloy wheels, rear Park Assist (with rear view camera) and Porsche Active Suspension Management. The optionlal sports packages are also available; one of which includes a contoured carbon roof, 22-inch GT Design wheels and asseat centres in a classic checked fabric, emphasising the model’s unrivaled reputation as an athletic and unrelenting sports car.

"We are expanding the Cayenne family with a vehicle demonstrating a very strong character of its own. And as in every other segment in which we compete, we also want the Coupé to be the sportiest option in its class. That's why we continue to develop our product range in a focused way, in order to give our customers what they want and gain new ones – especially here in China, our biggest individual market," said Oliver Blume, chairman of the executive board of Porsche AG, while speaking at the event.

As it turns out, Shanghai’s National Exhibition and Convention Center stood as the ideal location for this unveiling. Last year,Porsche delivered more than 31,000 units of the Cayenne in China, marking a 19 per cent rise from the year before.

The model will be on display at Auto Shanghai until 25 April.
