Nobiskrug has announced it will deliver sail-assisted superyacht, “Sailing Yacht A”.
The most advanced sail-assisted superyacht ever built: ‘Sailing Yacht A’, measures almost 143 metres (468ft) and a gross tonnage of about 12,600 GT.
Project director Dirk Kloosterman and his team at Nobiskrug engineered and constructed a superyacht masterpiece.
“Sailing Yacht A” is one of the biggest and the most advanced superyacht with unique features such as underwater observation pod, hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system and state-of-the-art navigation systems.
The three masts are the tallest and most highly loaded freestanding composite structures in the world, confirms Nobiskrug. The mainmast towers are 100 meters above the waterline. World-renowned French designer, Philippe Starck, pushed the bounds of creativity with the design.
“Born from the desire of the owner to ‘push the boundaries of engineering and challenge the status quo of the industry’, “Sailing Yacht A” is undoubtedly one of the most visionary projects Nobiskrug has ever been involved in”, stated managing director, Holger Kahl.
