HY18850TL01 2218Heesen has announced that the hull and superstructure of YN 18850, Project Triton, were joined together at the facility in Oss, the Netherlands.

Project Triton is the second in the new 50 metre Steel Class, sporting exterior lines by Clifford Denn and an interior design by Reymond Langton.

This 50-metre steel below 500GT is a true bluewater motor yacht with a range of 3,800nm at 12 knots. Powered by two MTU 8V4000 M63 diesel engines of 1000kw each, she is all set to reach a maximum speed of 15 knots. Her full-displacement round bilge hull with bulbous bow ensures smooth and comfortable sailing even in rough sea conditions.

Designed and engineered by Heesen’s in-house team of experts, Triton is built according to the highest Dutch quality standards. The exterior lines are characterised by curvy flowing forms with elements inspired by classic car design.

The result is a yacht with a bold but elegant profile, with plenty of entertaining space both indoor and on deck. This proven engineering platform offers the best space optimisation below the 500GT threshold.

“With accommodation for 10 guests in four large suites and one master stateroom on the main deck forward, Project Triton’s contemporary and cosy interior design is defined by a linear and clean environment where contrasting shapes and tones are punctuated by diagonal and curved lines, all of which works together to create a geometric theme throughout the yacht,” explained the company.

With tender and toys conveniently stored on the main deck forward, the lazarette welcomes a luxurious beach club equipped with SPA facilities and a central bar – a unique backlit design piece.

Project Triton is currently in the outfitting phase and is available for delivery on 28 February 2020.
