Celebrities have come out in support of Ferrari’s 70th anniversary event, Under the Skin, hosted by the Design Museum
Idris Elba, Jodie Kidd, Peter Mandelson, Sarah-Jane Crawford, Nathan Sykes, Mark-Francis Vandelli, Paul Sculfor, Zara Martin and Cameron Edwards are some of the big names who gathered during the event.
This is a major exhibition exploring the history and design of Ferrari. Celebrating 70 years of creative development since the launch of the first car in 1947, the show displayed rarely seen material from private collections and provided a unique insight into the meticulous and glamorous world of Ferrari.
This ambitious collection, the first outside the Museo Ferrari in Maranello, showed early design models, drawings, personal letters and memorabilia as well as some of the most famous cars to grace the world’s roads and racing circuits.
Together, these artefacts and original documents have provided an unprecedented study of automotive design.
Commenting on the event, Terence Conran, said, “The Ferrari story is truly one of the great adventure stories of the industrial age and I am very proud we are able to tell it at the Design Museum.”
According to Dylan Jones, “This exhibition celebrates its heritage with style, while the prancing horse has its sight firmly fixed on the next curve in the road.”
