John Pye Auctions Luxury Assets department is offering a quartet of F1 cars to the international market, available for purchase individually or as a whole collection.
The four cars are all of F1 grand prix competition provenance and the most recent Formula One cars to be made available for public sale on an international scale.
The quartet consists of 2013 Marussia MR02 – driven by Jules Bianchi and Max Chilton, 2012 Marussia MR01 – driven by Timo Glock and Charles Pic, 2011 Marussia Virgin MVR02 – driven by Timo Glock and Jerome d’Ambrosio and 2010 Virgin VR01 – driven by Timo Glock and Lucas di Grassi.
The Marussia in particular was one of the first F1 cars featuring the drag reduction system (DRS) responsible for a higher top speed.
The rich repertoire of names makes this a rare opportunity for auto sport enthusiasts and collectors to be a part of Formula One history.
John Pye Auctions business development manager Giorgio Vitale said, “The grand prix photos show great provenance but simply do not do the cars complete justice; they have to be seen in person to be fully appreciated for their styling and engineering beauty. This is why we are giving the public and prospective purchasers the opportunity to view the cars at our John Pye Auctions site in Marchington, Uttoxeter, Staffs, over the next few weeks.”
