Burberry has launched a new campaign with British model and activist Adwoa Aboah and photographer Juergen Teller that will see the release of a series of images for the brand in 2018
The first set of images show Adwoa and Juergen partnering on the selection of cast, location and aesthetic launched on 26 December. This marks Adwoa and Juergen’s first project for Burberry, with their next portfolio launching in February 2018.
Juergen photographed Adwoa together with her friends and family, including her cousins Alfie Husband, George Husband, Richard Theodore-Aboah and Kwame N’Dow, as well as Montell Martin and Mae Muller along Regent’s Canal in North London.
The collection features laminated trench coats in high-gloss neon pink and classic honey, The Doodle print across trench coats, dresses and sweatshirts, as well as The Giant tote bag reworked. The frame bag, a mini crossbody with a mid-century silhouette in highlighter hues are also in the collection
“It has been a huge honour for me to work with Burberry and Juergen Teller on this inspiring project. My role as both model and artistic director is one I have really enjoyed and embraced," says Adwoa.
"Christopher Bailey is an incredible visionary and it has been an amazing experience to work together with him and Juergen to create this series of stories.”
