The Nollywood Week Festival returns to the cinema L'Arlequin in Paris for its fifth edition from May 11-14
An event organised by the Okada Media Association, The Nollywood Week Festival, will give those based in Paris the opportunity to view Nollywood cinema and has provided access to some of the biggest actors and talented directors at only 39 euros for the four day pass.
This year's selection reflects the various genres that now make up this industry. Festival-goers can prepare themselves to be entertained, with performances including “The Wedding Party” from Kemi Adetiba, “The Diner”, a drama from the director Jay Franklyn Jituboh, and also “Catch.er”, a film from the NollyNoir genre, directed by the British-Nigerian film-maker Walter Taylaur. “Catch.er” will premiere at the closing night of the festival on May 14 at 8.30pm.
This year, five movies will be competiting against each other to win the prestigious People’s Choice Award, sponsored by Angénieux, one of the manufacturers of high quality optic cinema lenses for the broadcast and film industries.
